Who writes this site
Everything is written and edited by Sukie, who runs the site. There are no anonymous contributors and no invented author personas. The byline on a page is a real person you can email.
How AI is used, and how it is not
AI tools are used for research and first drafts. They are not used to publish. Every page is edited by a human before it goes live, and that edit exists to add the things a language model cannot supply: what actually happens when you play these boards, which explanations have confused real people, and corrections to anything the draft got wrong.
This disclosure is deliberate. Search engines have been explicit that AI assistance is acceptable and undisclosed mass-generated content is not, and readers deserve to know either way.
How puzzle claims are verified
Statements about boards on this site are not editorial opinions — they are generated from the boards themselves. When a page says a puzzle has twenty squares and seven exact-sum regions, that text is produced by reading the actual board data, so it cannot drift out of sync with what you play.
Solvability is machine-checked. Every board is constructed from a valid domino layout, so a solution provably exists, and the stored solution is re-verified against the region rules before the puzzle is written to disk. Boards that fail either check are never published.
Dates
The “updated” date on a page changes only when the content actually changes. It is not refreshed automatically when the site is rebuilt. A page with an old date is a page that has not needed revising, not a neglected one.
Corrections
Errors get fixed on the page rather than quietly deleted, and substantive corrections are noted with the updated date. If you find something wrong, tell me — particularly if a board appears unsolvable, which would indicate a bug in the generator rather than an editorial mistake.
Advertising and independence
The site is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no involvement in what is published, no review of content before it goes live, and no influence over puzzle difficulty or scheduling. There are no affiliate links and no sponsored posts. If that changes it will be disclosed here first.
